Anonymous Spatial Qualities in Vernacular Pattern of House; Case Study: Vernacular Houses in Zavareh
A house is alive only when it bounds to a timeless path. To find the timeless path first we should get to know the anonymous spatial qualities. These qualities get their shape from an specific place in which they occur in and as a consequence we can relate this to formative factors of vernacular architecture in natural and cultural context. The main purpose of this research was to study of the spatial qualities in vernacular houses in Zavareh, to recognize and study different aspects of vernacular residence patterns and also the way of adapting these patterns with current conditions to be able to move in continuance of vernacular patterns for creating an original Iranian architecture. The way of gathering information included library and field studies, in a way that the study of related sources and observation of vernacular houses in Zavareh in order to capture the mutual relationships between the behavior of residents both in traditional and contemporary houses. Finally, by classification of the data, results were presented and discussed. The results showed that valuable concepts and meanings are inherent in vernacular patterns of housing which their relation to the characteristics of human and nature make them survive. Therefore, these patterns have the ability of concordance with time and can be modernized.
